MONDRAGON ASSEMBLY TO DELIVER SEVEN MODULE ASSEMBLY LINES IN 2013
Solar module assembly equipment specialist, Mondragon Assembly said it expects to deliver up to seven module assembly lines in 2013.
Highlighting the longer-term expected growth of the PV industry through 2020, the company remains buoyant over the future and believes the market is booming overall.
Module assembly lines ranging from 10MW to over 100MW were said to be its main emphasis in regions that include a broadening footprint in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas.
Improvements in process know-how and technology have led to “greatly improved the efficiency of photovoltaic panels,” noted Iñaki Legarda, Mondragon Assembly´s Solar Business Director. “They are of better quality and the life-time is about 30 – 35 years. Therefore, they are more profitable and reliable.”
Mondragon said that it was also expanding its presence it in new markets such as the Middle East and South Western Asian markets.
